SpaceX releases black and white photos of Starship spacecraft - engineer sitting on rocket

Elon Musk just shared a beautiful black and white photo of SpaceX's next Starship prototype on social media. This photo was taken on August 4th, during a joint inspection of the Starship prototype SN20 and a super heavy rocket. The combined rocket became the tallest rocket in the world.

SN20 and Super Heavy Rocket in Assembly

The photo shows a close-up shot of the assembly process of the starship spacecraft and the super heavy rocket, with multiple engineers sitting on top of the super heavy rocket.Does this photo give you a familiar feeling? That's right, it reminds people of the famous black and white photo taken by Charles Ebbets on September 20, 1932, during the construction of Rockefeller Center in Manhattan - "Lunch on a Skyscraper".

This portrait has become an iconic photograph of 20th century American photography

Musk said, 'It's an honor to work with such a great team, and seeing this rocket assembled is truly a dream come true.'.It should be noted that the Super Heavy rocket alone can reach a height of 230 feet (70 meters), while the Starship spacecraft has increased in height by 165 feet (50 meters). When combined, they can reach a height of 395 feet (120 meters), higher than any other rocket, including NASA's famous Saturn V moon landing rocket, which has a height of only 363 feet (110 meters).

SpaceX has previously tested several prototypes in flight, but with the completion of the Starship spacecraft and Super Heavy Assembly, SpaceX plans to conduct its first orbital flight test. After sending its first prototype starship into orbit, the super heavy rocket will crash in the Gulf of Mexico about 20 miles (32 kilometers) offshore. The starship will enter orbit on its own, orbit the Earth once, and then return to the vicinity of Hawaii about 90 minutes after launch.

The highest rocket in human history is about to set sail. Wishing the test a success! The road ahead is long, and we look forward to the starship being put into use soon, leading humanity to fly to Mars!
