On November 2nd, China's Global Times discovered that the US defense website "Drive" with military background claimed to have discovered something remarkable in China using satellites - a test aircraft suspected to have manufactured the first sixth generation aircraft. According to media reports, this satellite image was taken recently at the experimental airport of Chengdu Aircraft Corporation in China. In the pile of buildings on the right side of this satellite image, a plane with half of its body hidden in shadow has attracted high attention from American media and even the US military.

It should be noted that for the brand new fighter jet discovered by American media, from its appearance, we can clearly see that it is a tailless aircraft model. Although it does not have a duckwing design, considering that it is a testing ground for commercial aircraft and has accumulated experience from previous generations of fighter jets, it is not difficult to imagine creating this type of aircraft.

The advantages of this tailless design are numerous. Interestingly, the first reaction of the Americans to this "awesome thing" was the US military's initial idea for developing the next generation of fighter - the X-44 fighter.

However, embarrassingly, the US military's plan lasted for several years and ultimately ended in failure, just like the hypersonic missiles it had been promoting for over a decade. However, the failed project of the US military was successfully manufactured by China, and this satellite image had a great impact on American media, even shattering the worldview.

Perhaps out of respect for the last stage of the US military hegemony, American media insists on recognizing in their reports that even if this suspected Chinese sixth generation fighter jet test aircraft is captured by satellites, it does not necessarily mean that it has achieved success. Perhaps it is just a abandoned model or a model for testing radar reflection efficiency, just like the US.
