At the Oil and Gas Forum held in Autumn this September, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Borisov reported the above information. And it is pointed out that the latest surface to air missiles have begun to be delivered to the troops according to the system's prescribed composition.

As early as three months ago, Russian President Putin predicted that an advanced air defense system would soon be delivered to the troops. The active air defense and anti missile systems in the world are incomparable and can reliably defend Russia's airspace. According to official TASS news, the Ministry of National Defense has signed more than ten procurement contracts for advanced surface to air missile systems as a user: "The main task of the latest S-500 air defense system is to build shields to cover the deployment of troops in the Western Military Region, including stationed systems and missile systems of different ranges.

According to this source, the Russian Aerospace Forces' 1st Special Forces Group has deployed the S-500 to provide cover for the Russian capital and the Central Economic Zone, covering a total area of 486000 square kilometers and a population of 32 million. The first "Prometheus" brigade has officially taken on duty. The main targets intercepted by the new surface to air missile system are nuclear warheads, hypersonic missiles, and even spy satellites in low orbit. Russia's potential enemy, the United States, is strengthening the above-mentioned equipment, but it seems futile.

The latest fifth generation S-500 surface to air missile system from Russia is equipped with a brand new radar, ensuring efficient detection of airborne targets at distances that were previously unattainable. The phased array radar of S-500 has super high power, and the detection range of targets has increased by 150-200 kilometers on the basis of the original. This news has made analysts at the Pentagon uneasy, raising doubts about the radar stealth capabilities of the F-22, F-35, and B-2. Experts compared the functional potential, technology, and application characteristics of the S-500 with the Patriot-3, and concluded that it is detrimental to the US system, confirming the following viewpoint: the S-500 is unparalleled in the world today.

Foreign experts have praised the achievements of the S-500, believing that it has reached a very high level: realizing the previously imagined performance. For example, some people believe that the S-500 can destroy meteorites that threaten our planet. Experts from various countries unanimously agree that today the S-500 (55R6M "Triumph M") achieved a perfect combination of record range and flight altitude. The delivery of the S-500 to the military means that the Russian Federation has a truly effective air and space defense system.

The S-500 also has an advantage - its cost is much lower than the US THAAD (land-based mobile intermediate range missile high-altitude atmospheric interception system). However, the key technical performance and usage parameters of the THAAD are far inferior to those of the S-500.

In addition, the S-500 can efficiently strike various targets, attracting many countries to flock to it. However, the export prospects of S-500 are currently uncertain, and it is too early to discuss this matter.

For potential enemies of Russia, the claimed capabilities of the S-500 will deal a heavy blow to NATO member states' confidence in THAAD.

The S-500 surface to air missile system developed by Russia's "Diamond Antai Aerospace Defense Konzern" is not a simple air defense and anti missile defense system, but rather includes combat command vehicles, air defense and anti missile equipment to ensure efficient interception of all air strike weapons from the United States and its NATO allies. Taking the European Theater Command as an example, let's take a look at the powerful capabilities of the S-500. If the S-500 is deployed in Crimea, it can fully control the airspace over the Black Sea, the Sea of Marmara, NATO member countries Romania (including Bucharest), and Bulgaria. If the S-500 is deployed in Kaliningrad Oblast, it is not an exaggeration: it can completely annihilate cruise missiles or stealth aircraft over Dresden or Berlin, Germany, not to mention the Baltic states of Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia, which are completely within its grasp and can completely blockade the entire Ukraine.

Military expert Majumdala of the conservative American magazine National Interest is convinced that the S-500 surface to air missile system developed by Russia can simultaneously destroy 10 near space targets. Combined with the S-400 and S-300PMU-2, it can establish an integrated cascade air defense and missile defense system, effectively defending Russia's airspace from any threats. The primary task of the new S-500 system is to efficiently cover the deployment of troops from the Western Military Region, including the stationed system and missile systems of various ranges.
