The concept and basic principles of current sensing circuits mainly include current sensing resistors and current sensing technology. A current sensor is a device that detects current and converts it into an easily measurable output voltage, which is proportional to the path passing through the measured current. It can be seen as a current voltage converter, inserting a resistor in the current path, and converting the current into voltage in a linear manner of V=I × R. The main advantages and disadvantages of current sensing resistors include:

b) Disadvantages:

-Introducing additional resistors into the tested circuit path may increase the source output resistance, leading to adverse load effects

-Power consumption P=I2 × R, therefore current sensing resistors are rarely used for applications other than low and medium current sensing.
